Future Munger Leaders Participate in Eastern Connecticut Chamber Program

29 graduates of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT’s Leadership program were recognized as they received their certificates in New London, CT. The two-year program focuses on teamwork, communication, and decision-making and it acquaints students with the various economic, social, and political forces impacting the community.
This is the second class from which a Pat Munger Construction employee has graduated. Munger’s first graduate was Business Development Manager, Karen DelVecchio, who completed the course in 2020. Marketing Manager, Elizabeth Tullo is a member of the most recent class.
“The Eastern Connecticut Chamber program complements Munger’s in-house leadership training program,” said Pamela DeMaio, Munger Vice President. “Our people benefit by learning alongside individuals from a variety of organizations who have similar aspirations. The program’s community service project aligns with Munger’s core values.”
Delegation and succession planning are key ingredients to the sustainable health of Munger Construction. “We need to have confidence in those to whom we delegate important responsibilities,”
“The Chamber Leadership program has been running successfully for over 30 years”, said Tony Sheridan, President & CEO, Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut. “It provides the opportunity for participants to learn alongside participating colleagues how the community and state function, and how to successfully engage in leadership roles. Many of today’s regional leaders are program graduates and major contributors to the region’s economic development.”
