Occupancy sensor light switches save energy and money
December 15, 2014
- Simple, inexpensive energy saving solution
Have you ever considered occupancy sensor light switches to replace standard on/off light switches? Occupancy sensor light switches sense when people enter a room and the lights turn on and remain activated until the room has been vacated for a predetermined amount of time. This feature saves energy by increasing the life of the light bulbs, thus reducing replacement and disposal costs and saving money on maintenance and utility bills. The overall reduction in energy consumption creates a benefit to the power grid as well. Sun sensor switches further reduce energy consumption by sensing the amount of natural daylight entering a room. These switches automatically turn lights on and off depending on the amount of natural light in the room. These items are relatively simple and inexpensive to install and provide immediate paybacks.
