In March 2015 Munger completed new construction of this 74,850 SF manufacturing and office facility for The Lee Company in Westbrook, CT.  The design for this conventional steel building was far from standard. The structural steel design required creative imagination and input from building systems manufacturer, Varco Pruden Buildings, including a trip to CT to meet with the Owners and Design Team.

Conventional steel building features large span, open web framing and 8 custom framed clerestories.

The building includes open web framing, large span (78′) girder trusses, a mechanical penthouse, and eight (8) custom clerestories.  The custom clerestories with a southern facing roof slope provide the ideal location for future installation of a photo voltaic (PV) solar system.

It was a pleasure to work with Munger Construction on this project.  The Lee Company feels confident about adding another Varco Pruden Building to our property.
