After breaking ground last August, the KIA of East Hartford Renovation and Addition project is coming to an end in the next few weeks. This multi-phase project involved the renovation/demolition of an existing 2-story structure, as well as the erection of a 14,000 SF addition that will act as the dealership’s repair and maintenance shop.

The Munger team is currently working to complete all site work including, site drainage, retention, concrete pouring for sidewalks, lot paving and curb setting. The Stucco system on the exterior is near completion, which will satisfy the vast majority of the siding work. Current interior work involves tile/carpet flooring work, painting, installment of interior windows/doors and a rebuild of the elevator located in the showroom.

Once completed, the existing structure will feature a Kia Branded showroom, reception area, customer lounge, bathrooms, several sales associate offices and an elevator to the second floor. The second floor will include a large conference room, several offices and an IT area. A small addition off the side of the existing structure will act as a pick-up area for customer vehicles. The new 14,000 SF service area will have a car wash and enough room for 22 garage bays. Munger Construction is excited to turn over yet another state-of-the-art KIA facility to KIA of East Hartford.
