The Lee Company, Building 82 Solar- Sustainable Commercial Building Options

In 2013 Munger completed construction of Building 82 for The Lee Company, in Westbrook, CT.  This 88,450 SF facility for the IMH Group provided increased space for manufacturing of microhydraulics components, and related office areas.  The clerestories on Building 82 provided the ideal location for a future photo voltaic (PV) solar system.  In 2015 we were excited to take advantage of this opportunity and offer a sustainable building solution for their manufacturing facility.

Munger partnered with Independence Solar to design and install a 324 kw, roof-mounted, PV solar system.  Combining Munger’s experience in layout and installation, with Independence Solar’s management and design services, resulted in a completed system that will significantly reduce operating costs and increase proficiency for The Lee Company.
