Town of North Branford – New Construction
Download The Success StoryThe Situation
The Town of North Branford CT identified the need for a new 5,000-square-foot building to serve its Department of Public Works. This facility would primarily provide storage for landscaping equipment while addressing environmental requirements for trash storage. As a municipal member of Sourcewell, the town had access to a streamlined procurement process, which led them to partner with Pat Munger Construction Company, Inc., to deliver a turnkey design-build solution.
The Challenge
The project required not only a functional storage facility but also compliance with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) regulations. Specifically, the design needed to mitigate rainwater infiltration into trash receptacles. Additionally, the building had to be completed on a tight timeline to align with the town’s operational needs and budget constraints.
The Solution
Munger Construction worked closely with the Town of North Branford to design and build a facility tailored to their needs. The team integrated a roof canopy at the rear of the building to meet DEEP compliance requirements. Leveraging the partnership with Sourcewell, Munger streamlined the procurement and project delivery process, ensuring the project stayed on schedule and within budget.
The Result
The Town of North Branford now has a fully operational Department of Public Works building that meets their equipment storage needs and complies with DEEP regulations. The successful completion of this project strengthens Munger’s relationship with the town and demonstrates the value of Sourcewell partnerships for municipal projects. Munger Construction looks forward to supporting North Branford and other Connecticut municipalities with future infrastructure needs.
