Munger Construction was selected to build the largest biodiesel facility in New England. Greenleaf Biofuels, LLC, located at 100 Waterfront Street, New Haven, in the New Haven Terminal, will annually produce over 10 million gallons of biodiesel, a cleaner burning renewable energy source made from recycled waste materials.

Munger Construction worked with founder Gus Kellogg to select the right waterway location for their new facility, and performed sitework and construction of an 8,000 SF, Varco-Pruden pre-engineered steel building, along with the infrastructure to support tank farm equipment and utilities.

Biodiesel will not only help secure our energy independence, but also provide for a cleaner environment. The goal was to have the plant converting fuel by the Fall of 2012.
