East Shoreline Catholic Academy – Renovation
Download The Success StoryThe Situation
East Shoreline Catholic Academy serves students in Pre-K through Grade 8 and sought to upgrade its HVAC system and expand air conditioning throughout the school building while remaining fully operational during the academic year.

The Challenge
Construction needed to take place while classes were in session, limiting work to one classroom at a time. The scope required significant new ductwork and electrical infrastructure, along with rooftop unit installation that necessitated structural steel reinforcement. Long lead times, seasonal heating constraints, and delays in electrical components added complexity. Maintaining the building’s appearance was also important, requiring careful coordination to conceal new utilities where possible.
The Solution
Munger Construction implemented a phased construction plan that minimized disruption to daily school operations. The work included new condenser pads, sitework for a transformer, rooftop structural steel reinforcement, and coordinated interior upgrades such as painting, flooring, cabinetry, and electrical improvements. The project team worked closely with trade partners and adjusted system designs as needed to maintain progress. Project oversight was led by Project Manager Mike Mozzocchi and Supervisor John Martucci.
Result
The project was completed on schedule with the school remaining operational throughout construction. The upgrades delivered a reliable, modern heating and cooling system that supports a comfortable learning environment while respecting the character of the existing facility.
