Munger Volunteers with House of Heroes to Support Vietnam Veteran on Memorial Day
Published on: Thursday, June 5th, 2025
Over Memorial Day weekend, 19 members of the Munger Construction team partnered with House of Heroes Connecticut to assist a local Veteran and his family.
Our volunteers spent the day replacing windows, repairing rot, painting siding, trimming bushes, weeding, and mulching to help restore the home of a Vietnam Veteran in need. The positive energy and team made the day uplifting and deeply meaningful.
This project was more than home repairs. It was a moving reminder of our Core Values:
Do the Right Thing Always
It’s Not Just Business – It’s People
The Veteran, now living in a care facility, was brought to the site for a special flag presentation. Though unable to speak or move due to medical complications, the tears of gratitude from his wife, daughter, and grandson said more than words could.
We can never fully repay the debt we owe our Veterans, but we can show up, give back, and say thank you. Thank you to House of Heroes Connecticut for allowing us to be part of this unforgettable day of service.
