Subaru Corporation President & CEO Visits Future Home of Premier Subaru
Premier Subaru recently held an event to present a check for $46,313 to Camp Rising Sun as the “Hometown Charity” in the 2018-2019 “Share the Love” campaign. “Share the Love”, is a national fundraiser in which Subaru will match anyone that purchased or leased a new Subaru and made a $250 donation to one of four national charities, as well as a fifth local charity of the dealerships’ choosing. Premier Subaru took this opportunity to showcase their new facility to special guest Mr. Tomomi Nakamura, President & CEO of Subaru Corporation, based in Tokyo, Japan.
In order to prepare for an event of this magnitude, Munger Construction was tasked with the challenge of readying an active construction site so that it would be suitable for the Subaru Corporation executives and Camp Rising Sun staff members. The Munger team worked to remove all construction materials and clean out the dealership showroom, as well as thoroughly clear the exterior area of the facility. Six truckloads of stone were laid around the outside of the building to cover any mud from the spring construction conditions. Additionally, Munger orchestrated the logistics of moving multiple antique vehicles inside the showroom, which will eventually be displayed on the mezzanine of the dealership.
“We greatly appreciate the work Munger put forth in order to transform the active job site into a fitting space for this landmark event, efforts like these are a testament to the Munger difference”, said Bob Alvine, Premier Subaru president. “Feedback from the Subaru executives was nothing short of amazement towards not only the building, but on Munger Construction as a whole. The professionalism, care and concern from the Munger team was evident throughout all aspects of the process and the Subaru Corporation was overwhelmed on how incredible you made it.”
“Yesterday was a special day at the Premier Subaru job site as the President/CEO of Subaru Corporation visited from Japan along with his staff and high-level executives from Subaru of America”, said David DeMaio, Munger President. “It was an unprecedented visit from such high dignitaries to a construction site and Munger was honored to help our customer Bob Alvine, President of Premier Subaru, host the event that benefitted Camp Rising Sun. Our team stepped up and did an awesome job preparing the site for the visit.”
